Update on COVID-19 and Safety Precautions at the Iowa Events Center

It is the highest priority of Spectra, the Iowa Events Center and our event partners to ensure the health and safety of our participants, visitors and employees. As we continue to closely monitor the situation, we remain focused on upgraded daily cleaning of the building and preventative measures in the front- and back-of-the-house. We have been thoroughly and frequently disinfecting and sanitizing the building, including elevator buttons, escalator handrails, and bathrooms. We have also heightened food service policies to reflect a proactive approach to housekeeping, sanitation, hygiene and food handling.

Our staff, partners and guests are encouraged to follow standard health precautions, such as consistent hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes. We encourage individuals who are sick to stay home.

Moving forward, we will remain in close contact with our local and state health departments, and also monitor daily advisories from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to update and adjust our protocols according to their recommendations.”
