Utah Hockey Club vs. St. Louis Blues

This historic event marks the first-ever competitive game for Utah Hockey Club since the NHL established a franchise in Utah in April 2024 following the sale of the Arizona Coyotes' hockey assets to the new club. Hockey enthusiasts and sports fans alike can look forward to witnessing NHL action right in the heart of Des Moines. It will be the St. Louis Blues second time playing a preseason game at the arena after facing off with the Minnesota Wild back in 2018.

"Whether you are a fan of one of these teams, the Wild, or the sport in general, it's a fantastic opportunity for central Iowa sports fans to experience NHL-level hockey and kick off the season."

Bag Policy

Wells Fargo Arena has implemented a clear bag policy for all events. A maximum clear bag the size of 12"x6"x12" is permitted. Exceptions will be made for medical, family, or child care bags or small clutches no larger than 4.5"x6.5". Click here for more information.

Cashless Facility

Wells Fargo Arena is now mostly a cashless facility. All concessions will now only accept debit, credit, and gift cards, with the exception of Overtime Tap (Section 108). Guests are able to transfer cash onto a gift card at the Overtime Tap stand (Section 108) if you do not carry a debit or credit card.
